The press conference is expected to start at 2pm. Around 1.45pm, many security guards started gathering in the lobby leading to the conference room. This is very different from previous press conferences of other Korean and international artists in Vietnam, as security is very very tight this time, and even the number of media sources present is restricted. Before 2NE1 appeared, their Korean staffs came down to investigate the conference room carefully.
According to reports, tonight at 7pm, 2NE1 will have joint performances with 2 famous Vietnamese cover dance teams, St.319 and L.Y.N.T(L.Y.N.T is the winner of IATB dance cover contest earlier this year, while St.319 is a runner-up). They will perform Fire, Can’t Nobody,Lonely, I Don’t Care, IATB, Ugly and Go Away.
At 2.40pm, 2NE1 appear in their Ugly outfits. People are said to be surprised by Dara being quite petite and CL being much prettier than what we see in MVs and photos.

CL started the press conference, “We are really happy to be here in Vietnam. This is our first time here in your beautiful country, but the love from our fans is really wonderful. We are really touched by that.”
Dara on the group’s unique stage outfits, “Each time we prepare for a new song, the preparation for the outifts is done with great care and details by our team of staffs. It’s difficult to measure how long it takes to make outfits like this, but we are proud that it’s a long and thorough process.”
2NE1, “We are very touched to see so many fans welcoming us at the airport yesterday.”
Dara, “I’m very surprised to see so many fans waiting for 2NE1 at the airport yesterday. I feel the warm love that you have for us.”
Bom, “I have always wanted to go to Vietnam, and now I have a chance. I’m surprised that we are so loved in a far country like Vietnam. I’m very happy to meet the fans in Vietnam and try out the Vietnamese cuisines.”
When asked about their plan to hold a concert in Vietnam, CL said, “After seeing the love we have from Blackjacks in Vietnam, we hope to have a chance to return to Vietnam. We will hold a concert dedicated to our fans here if they continue supporting us.”
CL also shared, “The songs we are about to perform in the event tonight are our gift to the fans. We also know that there will be 2 Vietnamese idol singers performing in the event as well. Though we don’t know much about the 2 Vietnamese idols, we hope the event will help us know each other better.”
When asked about possible acting roles in the future, Dara said she hoped to act in a romantic comedy film.
CL revealed that 2NE1’s upcoming plans are Japanese activities, then attending MTV award presentation in New York, end-of-year ceremonies in Korea and YG Family concert.
After the press conference, 2NE1 has left for rehearsal at the venue.
